Didn't really feel like the Birds dominated this one, but they sure made the most of their chances (and had some lucky bounces go their way). Good win though.
I'm curious, do your page views go down, too, after a win or just the number of comments? If they keep this up, you can turn them back off and no one would notice.
Comments and Page Views skyrocket when the team is in turmoil...
Confidence Iand the mental part of the game is huge for this team, as long as they have both of these going in the right direction they will be just fine a. Great win last night , let's go get two more points tonight!
"M", I was just wondering the same thing. Funny how some fans can't find their way to the comment field when the team is playing well. Apparently winning ISN'T fun for everyone. Guess they'll just have to find their drama elsewhere until one of the boys catches an edge, which will become proof positive that he "CAN'T PLAY AT THIS LEVEL!! THE KID CAN'T EVEN SKATE! WHY IS HE GETTING ALL THE ICE TIME?! OH MY GOD THE SKY IS FALLING!"
Collectively, not a dominating win as anon 1:13 said. But individually, some guys really showed some major habilities. Seems like Delnov really gained soem major confidence in the subway series. Kudos to him! It really changes the dynamic of the team to have the two top being a scoring threat and have the 3rd line being a wee bit more defensive but still will make you pay for any turnover you caught up.
I really like the way Theodore is progressing. I was wondering about the comparison at this point between Theo and Hickey and although I do agree with Tyler that Hickey was better overall (maybe not for the same reason as Tyler) But as an offensive minded d-men, phieww. Theo is probably the best offensive d-men (whl wise)I have seen since following the t-birds. The one thing that I think makes Hickey special was his leadership qualities....(being capitan of your country's jusnior team does account for something)
One the down side, I wish they would be able to muster a dominating win, like a 3-0 win with only 20 sog. Still, the abilities shown recently are pretty impressive. Big test tonight.
I thought the T-birds dominated most of that game. They had a few lulls. I love the fact that they are settling into some regular lines. Troock, Delnov, and Gropp were animals Friday and Saturday. I really like the Yak-Eansor-McKechnie line, such great energy. McKechnie reminds me a little of Datsyk with how he lifts the stick from behind and picks the pocket.
This 'dominating win' stuff is ridiculous. Sure, Victoria was on the road.. But they came in looking for their 7th win in a row and a win would have been their 9th out of their last 10.
The T-Birds won a game against a very tough opponent. I'll take it!
As for posting when the team is winning.... To be fair if the team is playing the way they should be playing then why would I need to post anything. I'm still pretty critical even if the team wins and people seem to really hate when people bitch after a win =] All I ever want is for this team to play to the best of there potential.
When I am in the office and doing my job I don't get praised nor do I expect it. If I'm not doing my job though then that's another story.
I'm always a bit afraid to comment when they're doing well because I don't want to jinx it!
