Tyler Hunnex - I started/founded/began Let's Go Birds in September of 2007 after feeling like my favorite Junior Hockey team needed more discussion and analysis. Jon Whiting - Jon joined the Let's Go Birds team in the summer of 2013. His passion for the Thunderbirds is as big as any fan I've ever met. His two kids are named after former Tbirds and his favorite all-time players were Patrick Marleau and Olaf "Ole" Kjenstad, who he swears is the best pure scoring Tbird ever.

Mumaugh has looked awful, but he's not getting any help from the rest of his team. 15 straight and counting.
So remember the first two months of the season, when were around .500 or even above it? Because I'm starting to think it never actually happened; it was just a shared dream we all had.
It was a make believe team, now the truth comes out
I'll be surprised, really and honestly surprised, if Barzal signs up now. If he hasn't yet, even when we were ostensibly average, I don't see it happening when we're back to dreadful. And without him, you can probably forget Gropp too. We'll get Kolesar and Bear, and that might help next year, but I'm not holding out hope for the others.
Anybody else notice that Theodore didn't play a shift after giving up the puck that resulted in Everett's 5th goal.?

Sorry, couldn't resist. I'm pretty damn angry about this "team" right now.

I think Anonymous #8 has it correct.
For the past 3 years this team has not improved over the course of the entire season while other teams in the league have. That I put on the front office.
BUT
This 15 game losing streak I place on the kids. A lot of the kids are ignoring the system trying to get out of this, not passing, not getting off the ice when they should, not controlling the puck, passing to the other team, etc. It's just ugly hockey. For that reason I'm sure coach K benched a few kids again.
Oh and for all the people that say we need to shoot more... we outshot Everett 45 to 23. The problem isn't shots on the net.
As for Barzal, Gropp, , I'll be concerned with that next season. It's nothing I can control as a fan so no use to worry about it.
I don't see us dogging it, I just think we are in a deep, deep hole and we can't get it out of it.

Maybe farwell really wants to move the team to nanaimo. Kudos to him. At least the NHL is back to take my attention away from this sad excuse for an organization, I keep waiting for us to hit rock bottom but we keep finding a new level of low each year. 20 in a row is going to happen, we lose to pg and this could be bad on legendary levels
What a waste...at least I didn't spend 100 dollars, for a family of four, to view that game. When Everett dominates you then there is a problem. Seattle dominated play during the first and half of second period but it was the stupid mistakes that cost them.
"still time to catch Vancouver"....that right there is funny...I don't care who you are that is funny. The sad case is that is just might happen.
That way we move up in the draft and can make a mess of it too.
they need a major shakeup... but unfortunately the trade deadline has come and gone.... fire coach K??? Just cause he was a NHL player, doesn't mean he is necesarily a good coach. Seems like the kids arent responding to him anymore. Something needs to be done here.
Difference in last nites game was a Goalie steals a game at one end, and struggles at the other. Mumaugh looked aweful. In 15 loses we have not had a goalie steal a game, It doesn't look good for next year, Glover moves on, Mumaugh is average at best and 5'10, Myles is a band aid. Our D does not seem to improve at all ever. 16 loses tonite, oh well Russ will have another high pick he won't know how to handle.

Must be puck luck, must be bad breaks, must be bad officiating, must be missed calls, must be a couple of players taking a shift or two off, must be...fill in the blank with all of the excuses that have been put out there by the organization.
Let's look at what it is. Sixteen consecutive losses (after tonight)is MUCH more than all of the above. It is you have major personel issues. Both the on and off ice group needs a
major overhall.
I said it last year and was ridiculed for it. But, if you want to look at a franchise that is able to rebuild on the fly, just look 15 miles up I-5.
The future is quite bright for Everett and having made the playoffs (ten straight years) in EVERY year of their existence is VERY impressive.

U can't really put it on kono yet he still has players he inherited. I really hope after every loss we don't need to keep bringing up the same stuff because we have an easy loss tonight and maybe 5 more wins this season in general. No leadership, no confidence, no skill... Lots of excuses really just bad all around team again and probably next year to. Nothing really to do, just sit back and watch other teams future NHL talent run practice against us nightly
Can't wait for the game to start. Oh, I meant the NHL game on TV today. Tbirds have two chances to win tonight-----SLIM and NONE.

Ok, If the Winterhawks have 18 players come down with the flu, play a 15 year old forward in a soccer goal, let us play Tim Thomas in goal with a 4X8 sheet of plywood. just to clarify what a SLIM chance would be. I think Victoria lost 32 in a row, and I think there are enough games left to beat their record.
