Seattle picks up Andrew Johnson from Moose Jaw for a 4th round bantam selection. That seems to me like a bit of a high price for an 18 year old who is -20 (worst on the Warriors). I'll get a more detailed report later.
This appears to be the only move that Seattle made today.

5 goals this season, and -20? Gee, put him on a line with Lockhart. Way to go, Russ.
We traded for Adam Kambeitz from saskatoon. He's a 20 year old.....
and seattle picked up another 20 year old Kambeitz from Saskatoon..... hmmm who will seattle release??? Lockhart? Rouse? Glover????hmmmmm
I'm not going to rush to judge the Johnson trade until I've seen him play. A lot of people didn't think Riley Sheen was going to pan out either.
Riley Sheen panned out?
2nd that. Riley Sheen is barely at WHL level.
Third or fourth on the team in scoring? Sheen for Doty was and still a steal.
Sheen for Doty might have been a good trade but where has Sheen been since the first of December? Nowhere!
Sheen 29 pts. and -21
Doty 18 pts. and -4
Looks like Riley may be a one way player eh?
Coach K has said that Lockhart, Hickman, and Sheen line is matched up against other teams top lines so the +/- might be higher than normal. Sheen stats for Dec. tied for 3rd for points
First line players get plenty of power play time to produce some offence to offset playing against the other teams first line. Coach K and more likely Russ just released their only forward on their roster with a positive plus minus rating to keep a guy with a -28 rating. It's decisions like this that continue to keep this organization in the basement year after year.
