I have one last commitment tonight that will keep me away from the game. We should be back to regular schedule next week.
In the meantime, Seattle has a change to start the season 6-2 tonight. The Tbirds didn't pick up their 6th win last season until November 13th against Kamloops.

The team was actually on pace the first half of the season a year ago for a playoff spot, even had road wins in Everett, Vancouver and Kamloops. It was the 2nd half where they fell apart, so I'll not get too giddy over this start until it continues over the course of 30-40 games.
Last year at this time we had 3 wins and 8 losses. Not sure how that placed us on a playoff spot run. After all the trades we "fell apart". Which was rebuilding that has paid off. Why wait until the season is half over, go ahead and get giddy now! :-)
Look at where the T-bird were last season at the holiday break. they were a point or 3 out of a playoff spot. Then came back from the break and fell out of contention...then came the trades.
That might be true.. I'm not sure. I'd have to go back to get the exact facts.
What I do know is that the Tbirds currently have the 2nd best record in the Western Conference and 2nd is a far cry from 9th.
It's still really really early. Seattle could lose just 3 straight and basically be back to .500.
Wins are great, but it's still too early to get too excited about anything.
