Quick update from the road...
Some good discussions going on in the comment section... I think that's a good thing. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I honestly can't understand why anyone would either watch or not watch a team based on the team's General Manager... but hey everyone is entitled to do what they want. I question why it's necessary to make that opinion public though. Why not just do it... at the end of the day I couldn't care less why people either do or don't want to follow the Tbirds.
The real big news today is that Prab Rai was returned to Seattle. We always want the best for our players and I would have loved to see him crack Manitoba... but for selfish reasons this is heeeeeuge for the Tbirds. Thats right... not just huge... heeeeeeeeeeeuge... and even more so because it comes before the start of the first game of the season. I'm a little surprised that he was returned so soon but it is very good news for the Birds.
All for now... only 2 days to go...

Rai not only adds instantly 25-30 goals and 40-50 assists to the ledger but makes others players around him better as well- not to mention experience he brings especially for the young guys. HUGE
This will be an interesting year for Rai... He has had the benefit of playing on lines with Holloway, Scott and on ice with Hickey the past couple years.... I'm hoping he can step into the role we need him to be.... This year however he is going to need someone to step up huge.... We need the likes of Wells, Sylvester, and Parker to step into scoring roles now. And badly need the defense to step up and give these guys chances to score.
Expect fireworks this weekend!
Boy I don't know about 40-50 assists, that means his line mates have to score 40-50 times when they are on the ice together. Possible but not likely this year.
my guess Rai will get 10 plus goals on pp and 10-15 assists on pp as well.
yah, i can see 40 assists
