The day is finally here...

13+ years in the waiting and the wait is finally over.
The Tbirds move into a home of their own tonight as they welcome the hated Everett Silvertips into the new ShoWare Center. I ended up not taking very many photos last night and I just didnt feel it was right to take pictures of the Tbirds locker room. I did however take a picture of the beautiful new Visitors locker room... a thing of beauty. See you all tonight... it can't come fast enough!

Your photo doesn't due justice to how truly lime green those walls are.

Lets Face it.... you did not take too many picture especially of the T-Birds dressing room, because you COULD GET IN THERE! The dressing room is just like every other dressing room around the WHL except for its a little bigger and a whole lot newer. But guess what? Only athletes can visit dressing rooms not athlethic supporters like yourself! If the T-Birds really want to make the visisting dressing rooms more uncomfortable, give them 2 bathroom stalls and NO hot water! Who cares what color the walls are anyway? the visiting team is not there enough to care.

Have Fun Tonight at the new home! Since the Hawks beat up the Tips for you last night

Brian in Sherwood

Geez, can Brian from Sherwood get a life? or start his own blog?

I like how lime green the visitors locker room is... I was at the sho center and Jake rocked earning first star.

Come on, tell the truth. You were a little nervous watching DeSerres give up three quick ones in the last 4.5 minutes. How is it that a goalie can earn first star honors after that ending? And Harper scores a natural and no honor? Get serious. Aparently you didn't leave all the bush league touches at the Key. That's not to say I am a fan of the Everett diving team, I just recognize homerism when its on display.

And you'll have to excuse Brian. Not only is he a ridiculous boor, his team now has a winning streak longer than he can count, so he's a little dizzy.

Jacob played a good game, a couple of the goals were Everett power plays (5 on 3?). He played a good game, seattle lost a bit of steam near the end....Everett realized that they were going to lose so decided to show up in the last 2.50 of the game. I am hoping that now the thunderbirds have a home they play like heck!

very honestly... no I was never really nervous about the outcome of the game. It was only a one goal game for 36 seconds and they never really had any dangerous chances in the last 36 seconds...

Also... I think Jake still deserved the #1 star because his efforts were the biggest reason why Everett didn't score for the first 55 minutes of the game and gave the Tbirds the chance to get such a big lead. Harper definitely should have been one of the stars though. I don't have anything to do with the stars though.

Strange. It sounds like you and Patterson watched two different games. He mentioned a Harper shot in the final 30 seconds that fluttered over the crossbar. He also stated the Tips were short-handed for roughly half the first two periods. Maybe you had a bad view from the far end as he did? Wasn't the building supposed to be designed as a hockey-first building? What's with the locker rooms on the end instead of attached to the benches? No matter, it sounds as though it's a good building for the fans.

Well first off... I don't really know the building planners personally so I can't really say why the place is configured the way it is... personally I'm not sure I really care that the locker rooms aren't connected to the benches.

Second... No I was watching the exact same game Patterson was our differences in opinion aren't really that different. I just said honestly I wasn't really worried about the last 30 seconds and I wouldn't really call a deflected shot that fluttered over the net a real serious scoring threat to tie the game... Patterson does a really good job for you guys up there and I think our takes on the last 30 seconds weren't really that far apart.

A little sensitive today, Tyler? Settle down, I was merely commenting on the difference of perspective from the two of you, which was obvious having read each account of the game. I would think the reason being you are both fans of your respective teams. And contrary to your inference of my allegiance to the EDT, as I stated earlier, I have none. Calm down and enjoy the new building.

Sorry... no not sensitive, just making sure I clarify my position. I never get real excited or upset by any of the comments... I'm glad to have a place where people can express an opinion.
